Guwahati, July 31: Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has declared the results of HS Final year with a huge leap in pass percentage in all the streams. Whereas 98.93 per cent students in Arts stream have cleared their exams, the Science stream has recorded 99.06 per cent success rate. The highest pass percentage this year has been recorded by the Commerce stream with 99.57 per cent results.

With the pass percentage in all the streams recording an all time high this year, it is evident that the record based evaluation system has gone in favour of the students. Specially in the Arts stream, the success rate, for the first time, has crossed the mark of 90.

The highest results recorded in Arts so far since 2012 was 79.92 per cent in 2016. Similarly, the last highest for Commerce was 88.18 in 2020, and Science stream had the last best results in 2016, with 90.96 per cent success.

Total 1,91,855 candidates were assessed in Arts, 18,443 in Commerce and 38,430 students were assessed in the Science stream as per the formula prepared by an expert level committee, after the HS Final exams were cancelled due to Covid induced crisis.
