Dhubri: Balajan police seizes vehicle carrying banned broiler chicken

Dhubri, April 6: Balajan police on Wednesday night managed to seize a vehicle containing broiler chicken, which was being carried from West Bengal to Assam.

It may be mentioned that the broiler chicken from out of the state has been recently banned in Assam.

However, the import of such chicken continues between Assam and West Bengal, through Dhubri district.

Vehicle Bearing No AS17C3873, and no arrest have been made so far.

Police informed that investigation in the matter is on and arrests will be made in this regard.
